Centre of Technical & Vocational Training (CTVT), Pune is an institute promoted by the joint educational initiative of Akruti Citygold Institute (ACI), Mumbai and Kumar Properties Education Foundation (KPEF), Pune. ACI is registered as a society and trust and KPEF is a Section 25 company. With the growing needs and concerns of the building and construction industry, the real estate industry is in dire need for skilled and trained manpower at various levels and positions. While there are a number of engineering and architectural colleges who cater to the technical requirements, the industry is struggling hard to find skilled and trained manpower which is very scarce. To bridge the gap and to create a fraternity of skilled and trained manpower in construction, ACI and KPEF have jointly come up with an initiative called Centre of Technical & Vocational Training (CTVT). ACI and CTVT are independent, non-government, non-profit bodies.

CTVT is managed by Institute Management Committee (MC) nominated by the promoters and Mr. Rajas Jain, the Chairman with Prof. Manish Janitkar, the Vice-Chairman.

The mandate of CTVT is skill development and professional training of manpower for the building and construction sectors. It trains supervisors and foremen, equipment operators and mechanics and tradesmen in various construction trades.

CTVT will also conduct short-term Executive Development Program (EDP) for working executives. The EDP could be sponsored by a company / organization for its own executives or be open to all industry executives. The skill development and professional training courses offered are largely those approved by the Government of Maharahstra and / or other reputed international agencies like City & Guilds.

Thus CTVT is the building and construction industry’s response to its dire need of trained, skilled and competent manpower at all levels.
